The Initiative

The YGRIN program is an action-oriented integrated system that includes community membership and dialogue through social and media networking. We foster advanced research and development of renewable energy technologies and waste conversion sciences, stronger economic development and new business creation within the renewable energy waste sector. We also promote a “zero waste” campaign to engage the general public in new ways of handling and reusing waste. YGRIN involves universities and new businesses by showcasing their new technologies. It gives back to the community through a fund-raising mechanism. It incorporates waste providers by connecting them with their local community in a“green,” environmentally friendly campaign.

YGRIN supports:

  • Community membership and discussion through social and media networking
  • Advanced research and development of renewable energy technologies and waste conversion sciences
  • Stronger economic development and new business creation within the renewable energy waste sector
  • A “zero waste” campaign to engage the general public in new ways of reusing waste
  • Partnership with universities
  • Scholarship and internship opportunities for students in renewable energy sciences
  • The Energeneration Foundation to assist with scholarships and R&D
  • Community ties to local restaurants with green waste practices
  • A showcase of students’ and entrepreneurs’ projects and innovations
  • Leadership format for elected officials and government service providers in renewable energy and waste conversion technologies
  • Legislative bills to ensure waste conversion development and better regulation
  • A model development of waste resources and an organized process for feedstock collection.

YGRIN is a worldwide community that shares a common interest in discovering new technologies that recycle waste to reusable sources. Working through a green, environmentally friendly unification and a worldwide community, our goal is to empower people everywhere to reuse waste, and keep our environment, water systems, and habitats safe.

Zero waste is a philosophy that encourages the redesign of resource life cycles so that all products are reused. Any trash sent to landfills is minimal. The process recommended is similar to the way that resources are reused in nature. The goal is to promote clean production, prevent pollution, and create communities in which all products are cycled safely back into the economy. We believe that recycling is not only an environmental tool but also an economic development tool. Waste materials are a local resource that can contribute to local revenue, job creation, business expansion, and the local economic base. The success of recycling and reusing can be largely attributed to the continued commitment of residents, professionals, taxpayers, and officials working together at the local level.

YGRIN focuses on sustainability—whether from an environmental, economic, or social perspective—to ensure that its renewable energy initiatives remain sustainable on all three fronts.

YGRIN members are part of an initiative comprised of people and places that will protect our environment, create jobs, raise money for education, and stimulate local economic development. It promotes charitable causes with the gift of giving. Through our members, alliances, restaurants, and sponsors we will create an endless interaction that will find new ways to reuse waste.
